A MASONIC Service , which was attended by a large number of the members of the Craft , was held at St . Botolph ' s Bishopsgate , on Wednesday afternoon of last week . places in the gallery . Shortly . before , three o ' clock tha bells of , the church ceased to peal , and the procession , headed by the choir of the Eoyal Masonic Institution -for'Boys , slowly wended its way along the central aisle of the sacred edifice .
The service was intoned by ; the Eev . Bro . H . Hebb ( head master of the Boys School ) , and the Eev . J . Davids ( Chaplain to the ; Bishop of . I - have been in the doctor ' s hands for a week , and have had to refuse six interesting engagements , and am egoing 'to . London on Tuesday to be examined for maladies incidental to old age , for I am entering on my 80 th birthday in
December . " The address was given by the Eev . T . F . Burra , who remarked : that one indirect result of church decoration was to enhance the personal interest of the parishioners and neighbours in the sanctuary . There had been some suspicion that all efforts to *
