THE 105 th Annual Festival of the Royal Masonic Institution was held for the first time in the grounds of the Institution , the facilities for such a large gathering at the new home at Btishey being of such a character as to make it an ideal spot for the anniversary celebration . Bro . Charles E . Keyset - , P . G . D ., Chairman of the Board of Management , presided at the distribution of

Stella Ridley , daughter of the Right Hon . Viscount Ridley , Provincial Grand Master for Northumberland , the Chairman of the
year . Bro . Keyset , in opening the proceedings , gave an interesting account of the progress of the Institution , and of the

completed and fully equipped for the education and maintenance of upwards of 300 boys , with a capacity for a much larger number should the requirements of the Craft demand the increase .
The head master , Bro . the Rev . H . A . Hebb , spoke of the work of the school during the year , which had been of a highly satisfactory character notwithstanding the interruptions in the studies which had necessarily been caused by the removal from Wood Green . The Hon . Miss Ridley then proceeded to present the numerous prizes , mostly the gifts
of past and present members of the Board of Management and other brethren specially interested in the welfare of this Institution . At the close of the proceedings , responding to a vote of thanks to his daughter , Bro . the Right Hon . Viscount Ridley
said he was glad to find from the report of the head master that the school was in a very nourishing condition , and that it had evidently begun a new career under the most hopeful auspices . He was also pleased to see from the range of subjects in which instruction was given in the
school that the training showed the greatest catholicity . The new buildings , which had cost £ 140 , 000 , would be a credit to any public school in the country .
THE HON . STELLA RIDLEY . —( Plwlo It . K . Speinghl ) . At the dinner which followed , and which was held in a large marquee , Bro . the Right Hon . Viscount Ridley presided . Upwards of 900 ladies and brethren were present , and the
proceedings were marked by much enthusiasm . The company included a number of Grand Officers and a large contingent of brethren from the Province of Northumberland , who had come that long distance to support their respected chief on the occasion .
In the toasts which followed dinner the active personal interest of the Duke of Connaught in the affairs of the Craft received due acknowledgment . Bro . the Right Hon . T . F . Halsey , M . P ., replied for the Grand Officers , and congratulated the Institution on the success of this the first Festival in connection with the great
