Provincial Grand Secretary , was an active member and P . M ., being one of the best friends the lodge has ever had , AA'ith Bro . Goodfordson , Avho was Treasurer for nearly a quarter of a century .
The third in order is the Phoenix , No . 94 , which was warranted in 1755 , and constituted on 25 th November of that year . It Avas 207 originally , and since has had seven other numbers . Its centenary warrant was granted recently ,, and its name was first of all King George ( A . D . 1778 ) , seven years later being changed for the Phoenix , at which it
remains . The members meet in their own hall in Queen Street , Sunderland , where the . assemblies have been held for the long period of 120 years . I remember my visit in 18 9 6 ( when the brethren received me so heartily ) with exceeding pleasure , and shall not soon forget the enthusiasm of the
large number of members present on the occasion , the efficiency of the officers , and the zeal of the Past Masters . ( To be Continued ) .

THE annual meeting of the Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons for the installation of Grand Master and appointment of officers , was held at Mark Masons' Hall on June 2 nd , the Earl of Euston , Pro Grand Master , presiding . His Royal Highness the Duke of Connaught was declared installed as Grand Master , and was proclaimed as such by
