Stockton . —Tees Lodge ( No . 749 ) . —The Brethren of this Lodge held their annual festival on January 8 th , when many Brethren from neighbouring Lodges were present to witness and take part in the sublime and interesting ceremony of installing the W . M . elect for the ensuing year . The Lodge was opened at three o ' clock , when the Chaplains , the rev . Bros . Simpson , Restoration Lodge , and Milner , Tees Lodge , performed the duty of installing Brother John Robinson , merchant , W . M . The other Officers were P . M . the Rev . R . Milner , Chap . ; Bros . J . Shelly , S . W :

Knowles , Stewards ; and C . Webster , Tyler . Brother J . P . Jewson conducted the musical part of the ceremony , and had prepared suitable and beautiful music , which was given with good effect from the organ during the installation ; Brothers Hornworthy , Jewson , Wilson , and Baker , sung the anthems suitable to the addresses delivered by the installing Chaplains . The anthem " To the
Power Most High all glory be given" produced an inspiring and solemnising influence on the minds of the Brethren . After the business of the day was concluded , the Lodge was closed with solemn prayer , and the Brethren dined together at the Black Lion Inn , where a large number sat down to a dinner of superior excellence . After the cloth was drawn , the anthem " To the Power Most High " was again sung by request , in the place of ( l Non nobis Domine . " The festivities of the
evening were enjoyed in fraternal love and harmony . Brother J . P . Jewson presided at the piano , and many excellent songs and speeches contributed to the pleasures of the occasion . The Tees Lodge ( No . 749 ) is now in a prosperous state , after having twice become defunct . It is an ancient Lodge , and originally stood No . 13 , as its old documents show , and afterwards No . 30 . The Brethren have it in contemplation to erect a hall in which to conduct the business of their ancient and mystic craft .
Sundeeland . —St . Lohn ' s Lodge ( No . 95 ) . —At the regular meeting of this Lodge , held in the Bhcenix Hall , on Tuesday , December 9 th , the W . M ., Bro . Joseph , initiated two gentlemen into Masonry ; after which . P . M . Bro . G . W . Hudson ably and impressively installed the W . M . elect , Bro . W . H . Crookes . Brov . G . Sec , in the chair . There was a very large attendance of the members of the Lodge , and visiting Brethren from other Lodges of the Province . On the 6 th January , the Brethren ' of this Lodge celebrated their annual festival in their Lodge-room ,
when about sixty of the members and visiting Brethren partook of an excellent dinner , provided by Bro . Robert Naylor : after which , the evening was spent with that cheerfulnees and harmony which distinguishes Freemasons . Amongst the visiting Brethren were several of the past and present Officers of Prov . Grand Lodge , viz ., Bros . J . Crosby , Brov . G . J . W . and W . M ., No . 959 ; Evans , P . G . Steward , and J . W ., No . 95 D ; Brooks , Prov . G . S . D ., and P . M ., No . 114 ; Smith ,
P . M ., No . 114 ; and several of the Officers and Brethren of this Lodge . Bros . Sparks , P . Brov . G . Org ., and P . M ., No . Ill ; Hodge , P . M ., No . 24 ; Davis , S . W ., No . 56 . After the usual toasts , the health of the Prov . G . Officers was given , which was ably responded to by ' . Bro . Crosby , Prov . G . J .
