M . elect , was installed into the chair by Bro . P . M . William Johnston , Prov . G . S . W ., assisted by Bro . E . D . Davis , Prov . G . S . D ., and other Past Masters of the province and neighbourhood . The W . M . then invested the following Brethren , Officers for the year ensuing , viz . ;—Bros . William Johnston , P . M . ; James King , S . W . ; Benjamin J . Harding , J . W . ; Andrew Gillespie , Sec . ; Jaques de Hart , S . D . ; Michael Symes , J . D . ; George Weatherhead , B . M . ; William Richardson , I . The business ended , the Brethren dined in the hall , which was tastefully decorated with evergreens embodying Masonic symbols . The cheer was excellent , and did credit to the purveyor , Bro . Alexander Joel , of the White Hart . The W . M , was supported on his left by B . Ms . William Johnstone , J . Hodge , William Morrow , W . E . Eranklin , and others ; on his right by B . Ms . John Barker , John Hojmer , J . T . Hoyle , J . J . Challoner , and others . The evening was passed as usual in Masonic assemblies , honouring the powers that be both in the government and in Masonry , not forgetting absent or present friends . Lodge de Loraine ( No . 793 ) . —The annual festival of this Lodge took place on Wednesday , 11 th January , at Bogerson ' s Central Exchange Hotel , Bro . E . D . Davis , W . M ., presiding . About thirty Brethren were present , among whom were Bros . J . T . Hoyle , John Barker , J . B . Hodge , B . P . Ion , W . E . Franklin , John Hopper , A . Gillespie , R . Eisher , George Hardy , J . G . Joel , Septimus Bell , and others . There having been some little misunderstandings in the Lodge , we are glad to learn that all matters are now set right , and the meeting was one of entire Brotherly reconciliation . The banquet-room was most tastefully decorated with evergreens , and the good things provided included every available delicacy ; in fact , Bro . Bogerson ' s efforts for the content and happiness of all present were
crowned by complete success . North Shields . —^ . Georges Lodge ( No . 624 ) . — -The Brethren of this Lodge met in their Lodge-room on Thursday , the 15 th December , for the installation of Officers for the ensuing twelve months , when Bro .
