A commission was ordered to be issued for inquiry into the manner in which the elections in the town of Gal way had been conducted , and the Attorney-General for Ireland was directed to prosecute the Rev . Peter Conway and the Rev . Luke Ryan , two Roman Catholic clergymen , for interfering with the voters at the last election for Mayo county .
On the 29 th , the House of Commons was engaged in discussing Lord Naas' Bill for the amendment of the Superannuation Act , the second reading of which was carried by a considerable majority .
