Lee stood in the opinion and fraternal affections of the Brethren whom he had ruled so long and so successfully , for speedily a memorial was presented to the R . W . Prov . Grand Master , soliciting him to re-appoint- Bro . Lee , and although , it was hastily prepared , yet it received the signatures of upwards of
200 of the Brethren , many of whom hold a very distinguished position in the Province . A copy of the memorial appeared in the last number of the Freemasons * Magazine , and it will be a satisfaction to the Brethren to learn that their spontaneous expression of confidence in his integrity , esteem for his character and conduct , and respect for his misfortune , cheered and solaced the declining days of their departed Master .
