Hamond and Heymer were re-admitted and passed to ihe F . C degree . The lodge was lowered to the 1 st degree . Ifc was proposed that a donation of Rs . 50 be made from the lodge

The Worshipful Master made excuses for the nonattendance of several Past Masters , and slated that in consequence tho ceremony of again placing him in tbe Eastern Chair would have to be postponed , but that he still purposed appointing the officers for the ensuing year . The question was whether a Companion a member of an English Chapter was eligible to be installed as the third Principal of tho Chapter ; he , although a Past Master of an Irish Lodge , never having served as Master of au English Lodge . , 8 , page 16 , ofthe Royal Arch Regulations , expressed their opinion " that to render a Companion eli gible to be elected a Principal of a Chapter under the English Constitution , he must be the actual Master or Past Master of a Craffc Lodge under that Constitution , " which opinion was confirmed by the Grand Chapter holden on the 3 rd ef August , 1870 .
