ADULTERATED JDBIKK . —The effort to grapple with adulteration ought to be supported . Bad liquors not only impnir the health of the consumers , but they are one of the causes of excessive drinking . Beer and spirits are doctored not to quench , but to excite thirst . It is the poorer classes who mostly suffer from the adulteration of liquors , and they ought to be protected . We would , however , suggest that the inspection should not be confined to public-houses , but include all stores of wines , spirits , and beer . Food Journal .
