P . M ., Secretary for the province . In an earnest and forcible speech , he warmly advocated the claims of the respective Charities , and urged the brethren to support as far as they could these commendable institutions . " The Officers of the Lodge " ( with the exception of the Tyler's toast ) brought a very pleasant evening to a close . Bros . Adic , Cartledge , Perry , and others added greatly to the enjoyment of the evening by singing and music .

Whalley , Mark Stafford , and by several brethren of the lodge . A Past Master ' s jewel , manufactured by Bro . George Kenning , was presented in a few well and happily chosen words , by Bro . Henry Jackson , P . M ., P . P . G . P ., to Bro . James Boardman , on his retiring from the position of Worshipful Master . This recognition is intended to
convey the high appreciation and esteem in which the latter is held by the members of the above lodge for his indefatigable and useful efforts during his term of ofiice . The recipient of the honour returned tha ' nks in appropriate terms for the mark of estimation the brethren of the lodge had so munificently bestowed upon him . The proceedings then terminated .

motto appearing upon the walls framed in laurel leaves . On the tables were numerous choice plants and cut flowers from the conservatories of the W . M . The whole proceedings were among the most successful and enjoyable which the lodge has celebrated for many years .
