A meeting of the Committee for the restoration of St . Alban ' s look place at Freemason's llall , on Monday last . As there was a small meeting , after a long discussion , it was resolved to adjourn the consideration of the business to a larger meeting , specially convened for June , the 21 st , at 4 . 30 p . m ., at the same place , as will be seen by the advertisement in another column .

Delamere Forrest , having given proofs of his proficiency , retired , and
was afterwards raised to the I bird Degree by Bro . T . R . Peel , P . AL , who assumed thc VV . AI . 'sc ' hair / ro tem ., anel performed the ceremony in a epiiet , unostentatious , and very satisfactory manner , though labouring under rather severe indisposition , which necessitated this highlyrespected brother quitting the lodge immediately after the ceremony . The VV . AI . resumed his duties and lowered the
lodge by virtue to the F'irst Degree , when a notice of motion was given b y Bro . Thomas Elliott , P . AL , for the next meeting , that the lodge meetings be adjourned during the months of Jul } - , August , and September ; and " Hearty good wishes" being expressed by the visitors thc lodge was closed in peace ancl harmony at S . 40 . Bradshaw here dilated upon the long Alasonic service tbat Bro . Jones had passed , his quiet , unobtrusive manner , bis extreme willingness to serve a brother at all times , and bis genial and kindly disposition . Bro . Bradshaw also dwelt upon thc great honour that had befallen Bro . Jones in being elected Prov . Grand Treasurer of the province , a far greater honour , in his ( Bro .
Bradshaw s ) opinion , than any other appointment of Provincial Grand Lodge , as it was a unanimous choice of brethren , not only in bis particular lodge or neighbouring lodges , but throughout the province , and showed thc mark of esteem in which the brother is held by his brethren . Bro . Bradshaw concluded by heartily congratulating the St . David ' s Lodge on their possessing amongst their members one so highly esteemed as Bro . Jones , and asked all present to
drink his health in abumper . Bro . Jones , in reply , said he felt with his new honour very much like an actor who made his first appearance on the stage , and expressed bis sincere thanks to all those brethren and friends who had spent both time and money in assisting bis candidature . Several other toasts were proposed and responded to , and an enjoyable evening was brought to a close at eleven o ' clock .

The lodge was opened in due form and with solemn prayer at six o ' clock prompt by thc VV . M ., and thc minutes of the last regular-meeting read and unanimously confirmed . Thc time question being asked by the VV . M ., and duly answered by the J . VV ., the brethren adjourned from business to refreshment , and sat down to a good repast ably served
by thc management of the house in the usual and satisfactory manner . Tea over , the brethren were summoned again to business , and a candidate having been' duly balloted for , and approved of , was initiated into the mysteries and privileges of ancient Freemasonry by Bro . H . Jones , P . M ., in a very efficient manner . Thc lodge was then opened in the Second Degree , and a brother advanced by Bro . Watson , P . M ., assisted by a visiting P . AL , who
explained thc working tools in this Degree at full length , much to thc gratification of the brethren , and tbe delight of thc newly-passed brother . The lodge was then closed in the Second Degree , and " Hearty good wishes " being expressed by the visiting brethren , and communications being read by the Honorary Secretary , a notice of motion was disposed of by the brethren resolving to adjourn the lodge for the usual period , and to hold their annual picnic on . the
regular lodge day in July , the W . M . and his officers being appointed a committee to arrange and determine the spot , & c . Two propositions were made , and particulars and fees received by the Honorary Secretary . The lodge was then closed in due form , and with solemn prayer , at S . 50 p . m . AL , gave a reading from one of the poets , and in doing so displayed a very great amount of ability in elocution . The toast of "The Visiting Brethren" was very enthusiastically proposed by Bro . VV ., and responded to by all tbe visiting brethren in turn , all expressing the delight they bad had in visiting this very homely lodge , and expressing a hope that it might have a prosperous and happy future .

Delamere Forrest , having given proofs of his proficiency , retired , and
was afterwards raised to the I bird Degree by Bro . T . R . Peel , P . AL , who assumed thc VV . AI . 'sc ' hair / ro tem ., anel performed the ceremony in a epiiet , unostentatious , and very satisfactory manner , though labouring under rather severe indisposition , which necessitated this highlyrespected brother quitting the lodge immediately after the ceremony . The VV . AI . resumed his duties and lowered the
lodge by virtue to the F'irst Degree , when a notice of motion was given b y Bro . Thomas Elliott , P . AL , for the next meeting , that the lodge meetings be adjourned during the months of Jul } - , August , and September ; and " Hearty good wishes" being expressed by the visitors thc lodge was closed in peace ancl harmony at S . 40 . Bradshaw here dilated upon the long Alasonic service tbat Bro . Jones had passed , his quiet , unobtrusive manner , bis extreme willingness to serve a brother at all times , and bis genial and kindly disposition . Bro . Bradshaw also dwelt upon thc great honour that had befallen Bro . Jones in being elected Prov . Grand Treasurer of the province , a far greater honour , in his ( Bro .
Bradshaw s ) opinion , than any other appointment of Provincial Grand Lodge , as it was a unanimous choice of brethren , not only in bis particular lodge or neighbouring lodges , but throughout the province , and showed thc mark of esteem in which the brother is held by his brethren . Bro . Bradshaw concluded by heartily congratulating the St . David ' s Lodge on their possessing amongst their members one so highly esteemed as Bro . Jones , and asked all present to
drink his health in abumper . Bro . Jones , in reply , said he felt with his new honour very much like an actor who made his first appearance on the stage , and expressed bis sincere thanks to all those brethren and friends who had spent both time and money in assisting bis candidature . Several other toasts were proposed and responded to , and an enjoyable evening was brought to a close at eleven o ' clock .

The lodge was opened in due form and with solemn prayer at six o ' clock prompt by thc VV . M ., and thc minutes of the last regular-meeting read and unanimously confirmed . Thc time question being asked by the VV . M ., and duly answered by the J . VV ., the brethren adjourned from business to refreshment , and sat down to a good repast ably served
by thc management of the house in the usual and satisfactory manner . Tea over , the brethren were summoned again to business , and a candidate having been' duly balloted for , and approved of , was initiated into the mysteries and privileges of ancient Freemasonry by Bro . H . Jones , P . M ., in a very efficient manner . Thc lodge was then opened in the Second Degree , and a brother advanced by Bro . Watson , P . M ., assisted by a visiting P . AL , who
explained thc working tools in this Degree at full length , much to thc gratification of the brethren , and tbe delight of thc newly-passed brother . The lodge was then closed in the Second Degree , and " Hearty good wishes " being expressed by the visiting brethren , and communications being read by the Honorary Secretary , a notice of motion was disposed of by the brethren resolving to adjourn the lodge for the usual period , and to hold their annual picnic on . the
regular lodge day in July , the W . M . and his officers being appointed a committee to arrange and determine the spot , & c . Two propositions were made , and particulars and fees received by the Honorary Secretary . The lodge was then closed in due form , and with solemn prayer , at S . 50 p . m . AL , gave a reading from one of the poets , and in doing so displayed a very great amount of ability in elocution . The toast of "The Visiting Brethren" was very enthusiastically proposed by Bro . VV ., and responded to by all tbe visiting brethren in turn , all expressing the delight they bad had in visiting this very homely lodge , and expressing a hope that it might have a prosperous and happy future .
