On "Hearty good wishes" being given from Lodges 119 , 310 , 371 , S 72 , 9 62 , and others , it was intimated that letters had been received just the day before from Bro . W . F . Lamonby , P . M ., P . P . G . Reg ., and Bro . T . C Robinson , P . M ., who are at present in Australia , and they desired to convey , although "far awa ' , " their "Hearty good wishes" to their mother lodge . Bro . Waugh expressed himself highly pleased with the intimation .
The lodge was then closed in form and good harmony , and the brethren , numbering over 40 , adjourned , by invitation of the W . M ., to Bro . Peacock's , the Globe Hotel , where there never fails to be ample provision made and to spare . The usual loyal and Masonic toasts were duly proposed and responded to , and , with songs and recitations by some of the best talent in the West , a very agreeable meeting closed with Bro . Hewson ' s toast .
LANCASTER . —Rowley Lodge ( No . 1051 ) . — The members of this lodge held their general monthly , and which was also their annual installation meeting , on Monday evening , the 5 th inst ., in the Masonic Rooms , Athenaeum , St . Leonardgate . There was a fair attendance of brethren and visitors , amongst the latter being Bros . John Hatch , P . M ., P . G . S . ; Rev . J . Kirkby Turner ,
P . M . ( Fleetwood ); R . Stanton , W . M . 281 ; T . Atkinson , P . M ., and others . The lodge having been opened in accordance with ancient custom , the chair was taken by Bro . Captain Garnett , P . M ., P . P . G . S . W ., as Installing Officer . A Board of Installed Masters was subsequently formed , when the W . M . electBro . Major Turner , was duly presented
, and regularly installed , the ceremony being very efficiently rendered . The address to the Wardens was given by Bro . Longman , P . M ., P . P . G . S . of W ., and that to the brethren by Bro . H . the Prince of Wales , and Present and Past Grand Officers , " was given from the chair and received with all the honours . The toast cf "The R . W . P . G . M ., the Earl of Lathom ,
and the Present and Past Provincial Grand Officers , " was acknowledged by Bros . Garnett , Longman , and Hatch . Bro . Hannah gave the toast of "The Army , Navy , and Reserve Forces , " which was acknowledged by the VV . M . and Bro . Irvine , I . P . M ., on behalf of the volunteers . Bro . Capt . Garnett , in appropriate terms , then gave "The Health of the W . M . of the Rowley Lodge , " which
was heartily received , and suitably acknowledged by Bro . Major Turner . "The Healths of the Installing Officer , " and that ol "The Immediate Past Master" were also cordially drunk . Other toasts followed , including " The Trustees of the Masonic Hall , " "The Wardens , " "The Treasurer and Secretary , " "The Visitors , " & c , and the Tyler ' s toast concluded the proceedings .

Dean's best style . The banqueting hall was tastefully decorated , and the number of visitors was in excess of that of the assembly at the lodge room .
After disposing of the menu , the customary toast list pertaining to the Craft was proceeded with . A pleasing incident in connection with the proceedings was the attainment of the majority of his Royal Highness the Prince of Wales's son on the occasion of the annual gathering of the members of the Albert Edward Prince of Wales Lodge . The , W . M . forwarded a message of congratulation to his
Royal Highness the Prince of Wales , the Grand Master of England , at Sandringham . The message was as follows : "Edward VV . Evans , W . M . Albert Edward Prince of Wales Lodge , to his Royal Highness the Prince of VVales , Sandringham . Hearty greetings and congratulations from VV . M . and brethren of the above lodge on the auspicious occasion of your son attaining his majority . May the
Great Architect of the Universe preserve him . " During the banquet the following reply was received amidst the greatest enthusiasm of the brethren : "From Albert Edward Prince of VVales . —I thank you and the brethren of your lodge sincerely for your kind congratulation and hearty good wishes . " Great satisfaction was expressed on the
reading of the message . 1 he proceedings throughout were of a highly-pleasing and gratifying nature , and Bro . Capt . S . G . Homfray , D . P . G . M . of the province , congratulated the W . M . on having presided over the largest assembly of brethren at any ordinary annual lodge meeting ever held in the province of Monmouthshire .

Sec , and honorary member of the lodge , on his being appointed as Deputy Prov . Grand
Master of the Province of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight . The W . M . and other brethren supported the proposition , and referred to the Masonic career of Bro . Le Feuvre , which proved that the distinguished honour for which he had been designated was well deserved , and that the duties connected with the appointment would be carried out with credit to himself , and to the satisfaction of the Craft in the
province . The lodge being closed , the brethren adjourned to the banquet room , where a splendid repast was provided by tbe resident Tyler , Bro . C . Henley , and the usual loyal and Masonic toasts , were interspersed with harmony , given and received , and a very pleasant evening spent .

Bro . jolly then , in accordance with notice of motion , moved " That all defaulters of over two years be at once warned by the Secretary to pay up their
subscriptions within six months from date of notice ; if not , that they be struck off the books of the lodge , " and it was carried unanimously . After supper , the usual loyal and Masonic toasts were honoured ; and a very handsome presentation , consisting of a silver liquor-stand , with decanter , and a brass and mahogany coal vase was presented to Mrs . Richardson , daughter of Bro . VVest , as a wedding present , she having lately entered the holy state of matrimony .
PLUMSTEAD . —United Military Lodge ( No . 1536)—The usual monthly meeting of the above lodge took place on Friday , the 9 th inst ., at the Lord Raglan Assembly Rooms , Bro . George Kennedy , I . P . M ., presiding , in the unavoidable absence of Bro . A . G . Saunders , VV . M ., through ill health . Bros . F . C . Hathaway , 153 ; and L . Comerford , 26 ( I . C ) , were admitted joining members .
Colour-Sergt . VV . Roberts was initiated ; Bro . Flagg was passed , and Bro . Musquin raised , and after five guineas had been voted to the widow of a deceased brother , the lodge was closed . After supper the usual loyal and Masonic toasts were given and heartily responded to . In response to the provincial toast of " Lord Holmesdale ,
G . M ., Bro . Eastes , D . P . G . M ., and the rest of the Prov . Grand Officers , Present and Past , " Bro . Weston , P . M ., P . P . G . Std . Br . Kent , spokehighly of the admirable manner in which Bro . Lord Holmesdale and Bro . Eastes worked for Masonry , especially in the province , in fact , the grand Charity organisation of the province showed that so excellent was the organisation that any case , whether boy , girl
, or old person , whose case was taken up by the province , never failed of success . His lordship always took great interest in the Military lodges , and therefore was justly entitled to their esteem and respect . He then proposed " The Health of Bro . Kennedy , " who , he said , had surpassed himself in the working that night , and that with but a very short notice .
Bro . Kennedy said he was always at their service , and would only be too glad to aid the VV . M ., who had to come all the way from Noithamptonshire to do the duties of his office . In proposing the toast of "The Past Masters , " he referred to Bro . Deeves , in South Africa , as one of the most perfect Masters of Masonry he ever knew . As to
Bros . Weston and Spinks , they all knew their worth , and the interest they took in the lodge . Those brethren having responded , "The Initiate , " "The Visitors , " "The Officers , " and "The Masonic Press , " were all toasted and acknowledged , and the proceedin gs closed in perfect harmony .
YORK . — Eboracum Lodge ! ( No . io " n ) . —The regular meeting of this lodge was held at the Queen's Hotel , on the 12 th inst ., when the chair was occupied by the W . M ., Bro . Sir F . Kent , spokehighly of the admirable manner in which Bro . Lord Holmesdale and Bro . Eastes worked for Masonry , especially in the province , in fact , the grand Charity organisation of the province showed that so excellent was the organisation that any case , whether boy , girl
, or old person , whose case was taken up by the province , never failed of success . His lordship always took great interest in the Military lodges , and therefore was justly entitled to their esteem and respect . He then proposed " The Health of Bro . Kennedy , " who , he said , had surpassed himself in the working that night , and that with but a very short notice .
Bro . Kennedy said he was always at their service , and would only be too glad to aid the VV . M ., who had to come all the way from Noithamptonshire to do the duties of his office . In proposing the toast of "The Past Masters , " he referred to Bro . Deeves , in South Africa , as one of the most perfect Masters of Masonry he ever knew . As to
Bros . Weston and Spinks , they all knew their worth , and the interest they took in the lodge . Those brethren having responded , "The Initiate , " "The Visitors , " "The Officers , " and "The Masonic Press , " were all toasted and acknowledged , and the proceedin gs closed in perfect harmony .
