Cooper , 1 G 68 ; and A . E . Pake-man , 1381 , and , it proving to be unanimous , the first three-named brethren were duly exalted to the Supreme Degree of the Royal Arch by the M . E . Z . ; Walls , H . ; Higgin « , J . ; Everett , jun ., S . E . ; G . Everett , Treasurer ; Bingemann , S . N . ; Speedy , P . S . The el « tion of Janitor was postponed . A notice of motion by Comp . VV . Mann , "That the future convocations of this chapter be held on
the first Thursday in the months of February , April , September , and November , instead of the second Saturday , as heretofore , " was fully discussed , and eventually carried , nem con . The Audit Committee having been appointed , Comp . Mann moved , and Comp . Walls seconded , the following resolution , which was carried with acclamation— " That a Past Principal ' s jewel should be
presented to Comp . Everett , in recognition of his services as a founder and first M . E . Z . of the Kennington Chapter . " The convocation was then closed , and the companions adjourned to an excellent collation . Upon thc removal of the cloth , the customary preliminary toasts were done full justice to . In proposing " The Health of the M . E . Z ., " Comp . Mann said that the companions were so well
acquainted with the services of Comp . Everett to the cause of the Craft in general , and thc Koyal Arch Degree in particular , that it would be an act of superfluity for him ( the speaker ) to en ' arge upon them . The M . E . Z . was the originator of the idea of founding a chapter in connection with the Kennington Lodge , and they would all agree with him , that during his year of office their First Principal
hael earned out the duties of his position most ably . In concluding his remarks Comp . Mann trusted that , notwithstanding Comp . Everett had retired from the active duties of the chair , he would continue for many years to come to give No . 1381 the benefit of his countenance and the aid of his valuable services . This toast having been warmly received , the M . E . Z ., in reply , expressed his thanks
to Comp . Mason for the very flattenng manner in which he had proposed his health . He had during his year of office striven conscientiously to do his best for the chapter , and he was pleased to think that his poor efforts had been appreciated . In conclusion , he said that he hoped in the
new role of Treasurer to give the same amount of satisfaction to them as they had been pleased to say he had done in the character of First Principal . "The Exaltees " followed , and this tcast was briefly acknowledged by Comps . Kohler and Cooper . " The Health of the Visitor " came next in order , and it was duly honoured by Comp ,

Z . ; Walls , H . ; Higgin « , J . ; Everett , jun ., S . E .
