M . elect , was to be installed into the chair of K . S ., considered interest centered in tho proceedings . Previous however to the ceremony of installation , Bro . H . J . Lewis , the retiring W . M ., passed Bros . Bryne ancl Searle to the F . C . degree , and raised Bros . Stevenson and Pratt to the sublime degree of Master Mason . The retiring
AV . M . having vacated the chair , which was assumed by Bro . Jos . Smith , P . M ., Bro . H . J . Lewis presented Bro . Vaughan as having been unanimously elected to preside over the brethren in the coming year . After Bro . Vaughan had answered the necessary questions , a Board of Installed Masters was formed , ancl Bro . Vaughan was by Bro . Smith regularly installed into tbe chair of K . S . Iiis only regret was that his ministerial labours would not allow him to devote so much time to Freemasonry as be desired , but be assured the brethren as far us iu him lay , be would would endeavour to promote the best interests of the lodge .
