1 . —Is it lawful for officers of Provincial Grand Chapters to wear the jewel of their office attached to a tricolour ribbon ? _ Answer , "Yes . " Sec Rule 100 Revised Regulations . 2 . —May the P . ' s .. jewel be suspended on a tricolour ribbon , and if so , by whom ? Answer , " The P . Z . j ' ewel must invariably be worn from a crimson ribbon . " J . —Is "the jewel of the Order , " when spoken of as such
in Grand Chapter , the R . A . jewel presented on exaltation , or the P . Z . jewel ? Answer , "Yes ; not P . Z . jewel . RE THE REGALIA OF THE NEW ROYAL ARCH REGULATIONS . To the Editor of the " Freemason . " Dear Sir and Brother , For the benefit of some of your numerous readers may I ask you to insert the following questions together with their answers furnished to me b y our courteous Grand Scribe E ., Col . Shadwell H . Gierke .
1 . —Is it lawful for officers of Provincial Grand Chapters to wear the jewel of their office attached to a tricolour ribbon ? _ Answer , "Yes . " Sec Rule 100 Revised Regulations . 2 . —May the P . ' s .. jewel be suspended on a tricolour ribbon , and if so , by whom ? Answer , " The P . Z . j ' ewel must invariably be worn from a crimson ribbon . " J . —Is "the jewel of the Order , " when spoken of as such
in Grand Chapter , the R . A . jewel presented on exaltation , or the P . Z . jewel ? Answer , "Yes ; not P . Z . jewel . " 4 . —If "the jewel of the Order" be the jewel presented on exaltation , may it be worn suspended on tricolour ribbon , and if so by whom ? Answer , " Only by Odicers of Grand Chapter and Grand Superintendents . " See Art . 09 .
5 . —May the two-inch Provincial tricolour collar be worn in Grand Chapter under the Red office collar , in like manner as the Provincial Purple collar is allowed to be worn under the Light Blue office collar ? Principals , or by Present and Past P . G . Oflicers , as might be agreed upon in open P . G . Lodge when any such proposed bye-law was discussed ? Answer , " Grand Lodge can alone pass such a Law .
