West Lancashire . —The Derhy Lodge ( No . 1026 ) . —The Brethren of this Lodge met 011 Wednesday the 24 th instant , at their Lodge rooms in the Derby Arms Hotel , Bootle , near Liverpool . The floor-cloth is also a fine specimen of artistic skill , being an elaborate copy of Harris ' s tracing hoard between the two pillars , with the usual emblematic border . There appears , however , a slight anachronism in adorning the pedestal of the left-hand pillar with the Derby arms . The ceremony of installation was creditably performed by Bro . Greele , P . M . The Deacons elect not being present , were invested by proxy . One candidate was then ballotted for and elected , and five new aspirants were proposed for initiation , chiefly residents in the locality , after which the Brethren were called off , and sat down to a very neat and wellserved banquet . The usual loyal toasts and the healths of the G . M . and . D . G . M . having been duly honoured , Bro . Lambert claimed the indulgence of the chair in
