The W . M . then proposed "The health of the newly-appointed R . W . D . Prov . G . M . of Cheshire . " Pro . Piatt , in a few words , proposed " The health of the W . M , " who , in returning thanks , regretted that circumstances had prevented his installation at the former meeting-, but pledged himself to carry out the science of Masonry to its fullest extent and in its greatest purity . The W . M ., in proposing ' " The health of the Past Masters of Lodge No . 782 , " congratulated them , upon so
many of them wearing the clothing of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Cheshire , adding , that it must have been for their superior talent and services that so high an honour had been conferred upon them . Bro . Piatt , P . M ., returned thanks . Other toasts followed , including CiThe Tisiting Brethren , " to which Bro . Grimmer , of Lodge No . 263 , returned thanks . The last toast having been given , the Brethren separated at an early hour . We may mention that at the meeting in
January a beautiful P . M's jewel was presented to Bro . Piatt for his invaluable services to the Lodge . This Brother has served , with credit to himself and honour to the Lodge , every post except the Treasurer : he is one of the most indefatigable Masons in the province , and we would here wish to place upon record the name of a man and a Brother who is such in every sense of the word , and who is worthy of the highest honour the Brethren can confer upon him .
