T . Cooke , Prov . J . G . D ., brought the duties of his year of office to a close by passing four Brethren and raising one Brother . In the same Lodge Bro . W . B . Beach , M . JP ., P . M . Spiers , of Oxford / performing the ceremony with consummate skill and ability . The Prov . G ^ M ., Bro . Captain Bovvyer , and a large number of the members of the Lodge and Brethren from Oxford , were present at the ceremony . The W . M . of the Apollo Lodge , Bro-. Codrington , were of a spirited character , and elicited much applause . The tenor of the addresses during the evening was congratulatory on the increasing prosperity of the Cherwell Lodge , and the happy results which flowed from it . In the course of the evening , the Prov . G . M . announced his intention of holding the Provincial Lodge next year at Banbury , under the auspices of the Cherwell Lodge , an announcement which was hailed with roundn of applause .
